Receipt inbox and autoscan
Drop in many receipts at once or email them in, let autoscan read them, and turn each into an expense with a click.
Open Receipt inbox in the menu.
Drop in many receipts
Drop photos or PDFs on the box, or click it to choose them. You can add a whole trip's worth at once, up to 10 MB each. Each receipt waits in your inbox until you turn it into an expense.
For each receipt, check the date, amount and merchant, choose the category, and click Make expense. Or click Make expenses of all the ready ones to make every receipt that has an amount and a category.
Add to an expense attaches a receipt to an expense you already entered without one.
Autoscan (Professional)
Each receipt is read for you in your browser, as it arrives:
- the date
- the total
- the merchant
- the tax rate: GST, including CGST + SGST or IGST, or VAT
- the receipt number
The same happens on New expense when you add a receipt: the empty fields are filled in. You can click Read the receipt to read it again.
Check what was read before you save. Photos work best flat, in good light, with the whole receipt in the picture. iPhone HEIC photos can't be read in the browser: take them as JPG, or type the details.
The reading happens in your own browser, so receipts are not sent to another service.
Email receipts in (Professional)
When your business has a receipts address, it's shown on the Receipt inbox. Forward receipts there, or email photos and PDFs, from your login email. To send from another address, such as a personal Gmail, add it in My settings > Receipts by email.
The photos and PDFs in each email arrive in your inbox within the hour, or within 10 minutes if your server runs the receipts job. If you're in more than one business, put the business's name in the subject.
