BCC dropbox and shared inboxes
Keep emails on records without connecting a mailbox, and connect sales@ or info@ so the whole team sees customer emails and new enquiries become leads.
The BCC dropbox
Each business has its own dropbox address, such as crm-drop+ab12cd34ef@ellibo.com. Find it on My email, or under Settings › Business settings › Email.
- Write to a customer from any email app, on your phone or your computer.
- Put the dropbox address in BCC.
- Send. Within a few minutes the email is on the customer's lead, contact or company, and on their open deals.
Good to know:
- Only emails from your team's addresses are accepted. Emails from anyone else are deleted, so nobody can put spam on your records.
- If nobody on the email is in your CRM, it isn't saved, and you get an alert. Add them as a lead or contact first.
- Ellibo deletes each email from the dropbox once it's filed.
- Admins and managers can click Get a new address if the old one is shared too widely. The old address stops working at once.
Shared inboxes
Professional plan and above. Connect a team address such as sales@ or info@.
- Go to Settings › Business settings › Email.
- Under Shared inboxes, choose the provider and connect it, as described in Connect your email.
- Turn on A new sender becomes a lead if new enquiries should become leads.
With it connected:
- every email with a customer in the CRM is kept on their records;
- a new sender becomes a lead with the source Email (if you turned it on). Your assignment rules choose the owner; without them, it goes to whoever connected the inbox;
- the record's owner gets an alert, by bell and email, when a customer writes.
Team mailboxes
Settings › Business settings › Email also lists who has connected their own mailbox, whether it's working, and how many emails it has kept.
