Get started with Manufacturing
Start Manufacturing, add your first bill of materials and make your first order.
Ellibo Manufacturing is for businesses that make things. You list what goes into each product, make orders from that list, and your stock and cost follow by themselves. It runs on the same items, stock, customers and books as your other Ellibo apps.
Start Manufacturing
Open Manufacturing from All Apps and choose your business, or create one. The business owner starts it and becomes its Admin. Every new business gets a 14-day trial with every feature, and no other app has to be started.
Set up production in three steps
Home shows these steps until you have made your first order:
- Add a bill of materials - what goes into your product. You can add items while you do it. See Bills of materials.
- Add your work centres - your machines or lines, with what an hour costs. This is optional. See Work centres and work orders.
- Make your first manufacturing order - stock and cost follow by themselves. See Manufacturing orders.
Have your list in a spreadsheet? You can import items, work centres and BoMs. See Settings.
What Home shows
Open orders, what is waiting for components, what is past its deadline, blocked work, what was made in the last 7 days, and the next orders due. Click a number to see the list behind it.
Plans

What it doesn't do
We'd rather tell you now:
- No offline use. The shop floor needs an internet connection, because stock and cost have to reach the server.
- No measuring devices or machine links. Measures are typed in by hand.
- Ellibo POS follows only with shared stock on. What you make always shows in Inventory and Accounting. It reaches POS once shared stock is on in POS, usually within about five minutes, and not for items with batches or serial numbers, kits or restaurant recipes.
