Settings

How you make things, working hours, operators, stop reasons, change types, importing and shared business settings.

Go to Settings. Only Admins can change these. Search at the top to find a setting quickly.

Preferences

• Numbers - Order number starts with and Subcontract number starts with.

• How you make things:

  • Steps - One step: make from stock where it is, Two steps: pick components, then make, or Three steps: pick, make, then store. With two or three steps, also choose Work happens in, Components are kept in and Finished goods go to; orders then get Pick components and Put away buttons that move stock on transfer orders. These steps need at least two warehouses.
  • Reserve components - When an order is confirmed, or Only when someone asks.
  • Switches: Use work centres and steps, Steps can wait for others to finish, By-products, Make orders for missing sub-assemblies, Allow making more than ordered, Allow stock to go below zero, Work can start only when components are ready, and Number batches and serial numbers by themselves.
• Planning - New sales orders make orders for make-to-order items, Automatic reorder rules run by themselves, and what the master schedule shows.
• Quality and floor - An order can't close with a check still to do, and Operators must have a PIN on the shop floor.
• Costs - Overhead on material %, used when a BoM has none of its own, and Finishing an order updates the item's purchase price.
• Emails - Email people when work is given to them, and Tell planners when orders go late.

Working hours

Work is planned inside these hours. Monday to Saturday, 9 to 6, is there to start with. Click + New for another shift, or Copy one for a night shift. A shift past midnight is two lines, one on each day.

Stop reasons & lists

• Why work stops - operators choose one when they block work. Counts as decides where it counts in OEE: Material & setup, Equipment failure, Performance or Quality.
• Maintenance teams, Equipment categories, Quality teams and Root causes.

Change types

The types of engineering change, with their stages and approvers.

Import

Save your spreadsheet as CSV. The first line names the columns:

• Items - name, code, unit, cost, hsn, tracking (batch, serial or blank)
• Work centres - name, code, capacity, cost_hour, operator_hour
• Bills of materials - product, component, qty. One line per component, by name or code. Lines of the same product become one BoM.

Shared with your other apps

Numbering, printing, document templates, cash and bank, GST, currencies and your business details are shared with your other Ellibo apps. Change them once, here or there.

Automation and security

• Custom fields - your own fields on orders and BoMs (Standard and above).
• Workflow rules - alerts, emails and web calls when orders are confirmed, finish or go late (Professional and above).
• API & webhooks, Custom roles and the Audit log (Business).
• Integrations - take payments online.
