Estimates and invoices
Send an estimate the customer accepts online, and invoice a job's time and parts into your books.
Estimates
On the job, Billing > Make an estimate makes an estimate in your books from the planned time (or fixed price) and the parts on the job. Make and send emails the customer a link where they accept or decline it.
Invoices
When the job is done, Billing > Make the invoice. It bills what has not been billed yet:
- Labour - each person's work time, rounded up and at least the minimum you set, at their rate an hour (or the job type's service item, or your labour rate).
- Travel - when you bill travel (Settings > Billing & parts).
- Fixed price - for fixed-price jobs.
- Parts - billable parts, less a contract discount. Parts under warranty or a contract are free.
The invoice is a normal sales invoice in Accounting, with tax, and a Pay now link when online payments are on (Integrations). Its parts do not leave stock again - they left when the job was done.
The job's profit
Billing shows the revenue, the labour cost (time at each person's cost an hour) and the parts cost, and the profit.
Projects
Jobs for an Ellibo Projects project show on the project's money tab, and their invoices count in the project's revenue.
