My day on the phone: travel and work time, checklists, parts, photos and the customer's signature.
Install it
Open Field Service on the phone and choose Add to Home screen (Android: menu > Install app; iPhone: Share > Add to Home Screen). Allow location when asked.
My day
My day lists your jobs for the day with their time, address and what was reported. Tap a day at the top to see another one, or Shortest route to see them in driving order. Map shows them all.
The steps
- On my way - starts travel time and tells the customer you are coming.
- Start work - starts work time.
- Pause or Put on hold (with the reason) - stops the clock.
- Complete - checks the job is ready, stops the clock and sends the customer the job sheet.
Your place is saved only when you tap a step. If two people are on the job, the time is recorded for each of them.
On the job page
- Checklist - tick, answer, enter readings and take photos. Fields marked * are needed before you can complete.
- Parts - add what you used from your van or the store. Stock leaves when the job is completed.
- Photos & files - before and after photos, documents.
- Work done - the notes printed on the job sheet.
- Get signature - hand the phone to the customer to sign.
- Time - correct or add travel and work time.
No signal?
Steps, notes and checklist answers made without signal are kept on the phone and sent as soon as it is back online.
