Get started with HR

Start HR, add your people, and see what each plan includes.

Ellibo HR keeps one record for each person, from hiring to exit. Leave and attendance flow into payroll, and salaries post to your books. It runs on the same sign-in and the same business as your other Ellibo apps.

Start HR

Open HR from All Apps and choose your business, or create one. The business owner starts it and becomes its Admin. Every new business gets a 14-day trial with every feature, for up to 50 employees, and no other app has to be started.

Starting HR adds usual leave types, a first shift, pay lines, joining and exit checklists, letter templates and HR help categories. You can change all of them in Settings.

Set up in four steps

1. Add your locations and departments. A location's state decides professional tax and labour welfare fund.
2. Add your people. One at a time, or from a spreadsheet. See Employees and records and Move to Ellibo HR.
3. Invite those who need a sign-in. People without one can use a shared kiosk. See Users and roles and Kiosks and devices.
4. Check your leave types and shift. See Leave and holidays and Attendance and shifts.

Plans

HR is priced per employee a month. People who have left don't count, and sign-ins are free.

• Free - up to 5 employees, with records, leave and attendance.
• Standard - adds shifts and rosters, documents and letters, self-service, the directory and org chart, kiosks and devices, and custom fields.
• Professional - adds payroll, India compliance, hiring, onboarding and exits, and more reports.
• Business - adds goals and reviews, learning, surveys and announcements, HR help, automation, the API, custom roles and the audit log.

Paid plans have a minimum of 10 employees, and a year costs the same as 10 months. The free trial includes every plan's features. See Free trial and plans.

After the trial, your business moves to the Free plan unless you choose another. Your records stay. Features outside your plan lock, and you can't add employees past your plan's limit.

What it doesn't do

We'd rather tell you now:

• No store app. HR installs as a web app: open it in your phone's browser and add it to your home screen.
• No facial recognition. A clock-in can take a photo if you turn that on, and nothing checks who is in it.
• No bank payouts. The app makes a file you upload to your bank, and you record the payment.
• No direct filing. You or your accountant file EPF, ESI and TDS on the government portals, using the files and data the app makes.
