Cycle counts
Count a few items often instead of everything once a year. Ellibo tells you what's due, staff count, and a manager approves the differences.
Cycle count plans are part of the Business plan.
How it works
Items are put into classes by their sales over the last 12 months:
- A: the items that make the top 70% of your sales
- B: the next 20%
- C: the rest
Count A items most often, because mistakes there cost the most.
Create a count plan
- Go to Items › Cycle Counts and click + New count plan.
- Give it a name and choose the warehouse.
- Choose Which items: all items, a Category, or by class.
- Choose how often: Every so many days, or Class A every, Class B every and Class C every so many days. For example, A every 30 days, B every 90, C every 180.
- Choose whether the count is blind, meaning staff don't see the expected quantity.
- Click Save.
Count
- Open Cycle Counts and tick Show only what is due.
- Click Count the chosen items, count them, and enter what you found.
- Save. The count waits under Counts waiting for a manager.
A manager checks the differences and applies the count, which adjusts the stock.
Tip
The ABC Classification report shows each item's class.
