People and rates
Who counts as a person, people with no sign-in, who approves, and each person's rates.
Go to People. It lists everyone whose time you keep. Your plan counts these people, and the top of the page shows how many you have.
Someone with a sign-in and a role that keeps a timesheet is added when they first open Timesheets. Viewers don't keep a timesheet and don't take a seat.
Add a person
Click New person and enter their name. Email is optional.
Only an Admin can add and change people. To give someone a sign-in, see Users and roles.
People with no sign-in
Add them here and leave them without a sign-in. Their manager enters their time from the name list on My timesheet. They count as a person on your plan.
From Ellibo HR
If you use HR, click Add from HR to bring in employees. Names and managers of people with an HR record come from HR, so change them there. Their leave and holidays lower their expected hours.
Who approves them
Approved by is the person's manager. Choose anyone whose role can approve, or leave it as An admin. A person can't approve their own time.
Hours a day
Hours a day sets this person's expected hours. Leave it empty to use your business's working day, for example for someone who works part time.
Rates
Admins and Finance see these. Other roles, including Viewers, don't.
- Cost an hour - what this person's hour costs you. Profit by client uses it.
- Bill an hour - what you charge for their hour when the job has no rate of its own.
- Pay by the hour through HR - off by default. See Hours to pay.
Rates are never sent through workflow rules or webhooks.
When someone leaves
Turn off Active. Their time stays, and they stop counting on your plan.
