Timesheets with your other apps
How time from Projects, Field Service, Helpdesk and Manufacturing shows, and what Timesheets shares with HR and your books.
Timesheets works alone, and no other app has to be started. If you use other Ellibo apps, they share your sign-in and your business. Each sign-in has its own role in each app.
One sheet, nothing copied
On the Standard plan and up, time kept by other apps shows on the weekly sheet. Timesheets reads each row where it is kept, so the hours can't disagree between apps. Turn this on or off in Settings.
This time shows for people with a sign-in, because each app keeps time against a sign-in.
Projects
Your projects appear as lines you can log on. Changes follow Projects' own rules, and you need a role in Projects to change project time from here.
A day with several project entries is read-only on the sheet. Change them in Projects.
When Projects asks for approval, project time goes to the project's managers. Otherwise it goes to the person's manager with everything else.
Hourly project time can be billed from Invoices, and each project gets its own invoice. A project with a fixed fee is never billed by the hour.
Field Service and Helpdesk
Job and ticket time shows on the sheet. You can correct your own time from the day's details: click the time, change it, and click Save. You need a role in that app. A manager corrects other people's time in the app itself.
This time stays billed with the job or ticket, so it never goes on an invoice from Timesheets.
Manufacturing
Work order time shows on the sheet and is read-only, because those minutes feed job cost. Change it in Manufacturing.
HR
- Holidays and approved leave lower expected hours, so nobody is reminded about a day off.
- Names and managers of people with an HR record come from HR.
- Approved hours of people paid by the hour can go into the month's pay. See Hours to pay.
- Attendance against timesheet shows hours at work in HR beside hours logged here. See Reports.
Attendance, shifts, overtime and salary stay in HR.
Accounting
Invoices from hours go in your business's books as sales invoices, with your numbering and GST. You don't need the Accounting app for this. If you use it, you see the same invoices there. Your customer list is shared too.
Without those apps
Nothing breaks. Timesheets skips any link to an app you don't use.
