Combos and meal deals

Sell several items together at one price, with choices, for example a burger meal with fries and a drink of the guest's choice. The bill and kitchen ticket list every item, and stock comes off each one.

Switch it on

Go to Settings › Billing Settings › Features, tick Combos / Meal Deals and click Save. Combos then shows under Menu.

Managers and Admins can set up combos. Combos are sold on the POS. They don't show on your online store or QR menu yet.

Add a combo

First add the combo as a product under Menu › Products, for example Burger Meal, with its price, category and tax. Choose a product without variations: its price is the combo price.
Go to Menu › Combos and click + New.
Choose that product under Combo product.
Under Always included, add the items that come with every combo, for example the burger and the fries. Set a quantity if it's more than one.
Under Choices, click + Add a choice for anything the guest picks, for example Choose a drink:
- set how many they pick at least and at most (1 and 1 for "pick one"),
- add the options, for example Coke, Sprite and Lime soda,
- type an Extra price for an option that costs more, for example + 40 for a milkshake.
Click Save combo.

At the bottom, Ellibo shows what the same items cost bought separately, and how much guests save.

Tip

A product with variations can be part of a combo: choose the variation, for example Coke (Large).

Sell a combo on the POS

Combo products show a Combo label. Tap one and pick the choices; the total, with any extras, shows at the bottom. Click Add to bill.

The bill shows the combo at its price with its items listed under it. The kitchen ticket and the receipt list every item too, so the kitchen knows exactly what to make. The same combo with the same choices adds to one line; different choices make a new line.

Stock

When stock tracking is on, a combo takes stock from each item in it, not from the combo product. If an item has run out, the bill isn't saved and Ellibo tells you which one.

Stock goes back by itself when you remove a combo from a bill, cancel the bill, or refund it with put back in stock. With raw materials and recipes, each item's own recipe is used.

Change or remove a combo

On Menu › Combos, click Edit, Switch off to stop selling it for a while, or Remove. Changes apply to new bills; past bills keep the items they were sold with. A removed combo's product stays under Products as a normal product.
