Area and order-type prices
Charge different prices by dining area, such as an AC hall, the bar or the rooftop, and for pickup and delivery orders.
Restaurants often charge more in one area than another, or more for delivery. In Ellibo each dining area has its own price list, and so do Pickup and Delivery. Until you set one up, every order uses the normal product prices.
Set the prices for an area
- Go to Restaurant › Area & Order Prices. You can also open it from Dining Areas with Area Prices.
- Click Edit prices next to the area, or next to Pickup or Delivery.
- Under Change normal prices by (%), enter how much to add, for example
10for 10% more. A minus number takes money off, for example-5. - Tick Round to a whole number if you don't want prices with paise.
- To fix the price of a single product or variation, type it under Own price. An own price wins over the %. Leave it blank to use the %.
- Click Save prices.
The Price here column shows what each product will cost in that area as you type.
| Example | Normal price | Price here |
|---|---|---|
| Bar, +10% | 150.00 | 165.00 |
| AC hall, +5%, rounded | 99.00 | 104.00 |
| Delivery, own price 180 | 150.00 | 180.00 |
Which price an order uses
- Dine-in: the price list of the table's dining area.
- Pickup and Delivery: their own lists.
- Variations (Small, Large) follow the list. Add-ons keep their normal price everywhere.
- The POS uses new prices once it's refreshed.
Items already on a bill keep the price they were added at. If you move a table to another area, the bill stays as it is. New dishes added after the move use the new area's price; adding more of a dish that's already on the bill keeps that line's price.
QR table orders and the online store
Guests who order by scanning a table's QR code see and pay that area's prices. Online pickup and delivery orders use the Pickup and Delivery lists, and the prices change as soon as the guest picks one at checkout.
Change many prices with Excel
- On Area & Order Prices, click Export to Excel. The file has one row per product or variation, with a Price - ... column for each list.
- Type the own prices you want. A blank cell means the list's % applies. Don't change the Item Code and Variation ID columns or the headings.
- Under Import, choose the file. Ellibo shows what will change, and any rows with problems.
- Click Import.
The % change of each list isn't in the file. Set it on the list's Edit prices page.
Only managers and admins can change prices.
