POS customers in CRM
If you also bill with Ellibo POS, your POS customers can appear in CRM as contacts, with their purchases on the contact's page.
This is optional, and only admins can turn it on. CRM never changes anything in POS.
Turn it on
Go to Settings › POS customers and click Turn on. Your customers are added straight away, and new ones follow every hour. You can also click Sync now.
What you'll see
- Contacts. Each POS customer with a mobile number or an email gets a contact, tagged POS customer. Customers with neither aren't added.
- Existing contacts. If one contact already has the exact same email or full mobile number, the customer is linked to it, and only its blank email and mobile are filled. Names are never used to match. If two contacts could match, a new contact is made rather than a guess.
- POS purchases. The contact's page shows how many purchases they've made, the total, and their latest bills. You can't edit these in CRM. People whose role hides amounts don't see this.
Mass email and offers
A contact made from POS can't get mass emails or sequences until the customer ticks send me offers in POS. Until then, their address is on your Unsubscribed list as POS customer who has not asked for offers. When they tick it, they come off the list within the hour.
You can still email them one to one. Only choose Subscribe again if the customer has told you they want offers.
A contact that was already in CRM keeps the permissions it had.
Good to know
- Details you change in CRM stay in CRM. A later change in POS doesn't overwrite them.
- A contact you delete in CRM isn't added again.
- Workflows and webhooks don't run for contacts added this way, so turning this on doesn't send anything to your customers.
- If you merge two contacts, the POS purchases follow the one you keep.
- If your CRM plan ends, new customers wait and are added once it's renewed.
Turn it off
Click Turn off. Contacts already in CRM stay there, and no new ones are added.
