Try it: type 1:30, 1.5 or 90m in any box. Friday is a holiday, so its hours aren't expected. This is a sample, and nothing is saved.

  • Free for 3 people, for ever
  • 14-day trial of everything, no card
  • One sheet for time from your other Ellibo apps
  • On your phone, installed from the browser
One weekly sheet

Time from every app, with nothing to copy

Your people already log time on projects, field jobs, tickets and work orders. It appears here by itself, read from where it is kept, so hours can't disagree.

Changes keep each app's own rules. A person can correct their own Field Service and Helpdesk time from the day's details on the sheet, and Manufacturing time is read-only because it feeds job cost. On the Standard plan and up.

One week, followed through

From the first hour to the invoice

Here is what happens to a week of work. Start with the sheet and add the rest when you are ready.

Log

Type the hours, or start a timer

A line for each job or project and a box for each day. It saves when you leave the box, and shows how far along the week is against the hours expected.

  • Type 1:30, 1.5 or 90m, whichever comes naturally
  • One timer you can pause, rounded up the way your business asks
  • The phone screen shows one day at a time
  • Installs as an app from the browser

Approve

Time tracking with approvals that go to the right person

People send a whole week. Project time goes to the project's managers, and all other time goes to the line manager. The week is approved when nothing is left waiting.

  • Send a week back with a reason, and it opens for changes
  • Take a week back until someone has decided
  • See at a glance when time changed after it was sent
  • Lock all time up to a date
Standard plan and up
Days off

Nobody gets nagged on a day off

Leave and holidays from Ellibo HR lower the hours expected from each person. Reminders then go only to people who are really short, or whose week hasn't been sent.

  • Choose the day reminders go out
  • Your own work week: first day, working days and hours
  • No HR? List your holidays in Timesheets instead
Reminders from Standard
No sign-in

A manager can enter time for people with no sign-in

Not everyone has an email address or sits at a desk. Add them under People, and their manager fills in their week on the same sheet.

  • A person is anyone whose time you keep
  • Each person has someone who approves them
  • Viewers don't take a seat

Invoice

Billable hours tracking that ends in an invoice

Approved, billable hours wait under each client. Choose what to bill and make the invoice. It goes in the same books, with your numbering and tax.

  • Rates by job or by person, with a default for the business
  • Hours with no rate are flagged, not billed at nothing
  • Hourly project time keeps its own invoice, so the project's profit stays right
  • Field job and ticket time stays billed with the job or ticket
Professional plan

Names and figures in these pictures are examples.

One hour, one invoice

Hours can't be billed twice

Each hour remembers the invoice it went on. Follow one through.

  1. ApprovedThe hour waits under its client, in Ready to bill.
  2. On an invoiceIt leaves Ready to bill. It can't be billed again or changed, and its week can't be reopened.
  3. Invoice voidedA mistake? Void the invoice, and your books follow.
  4. Free againThe hour is back in Ready to bill, with nothing to fix by hand.
The same care goes into pay. Once hours have gone to pay, the week can't be reopened until the line is removed from the month's pay in Ellibo HR.
Pay

Hours to pay, for the people you pay by the hour

Paying by the hour is off by default and set for each person. Their approved hours go into the Ellibo HR pay run in one click, or into a CSV for any payroll.

  • Pay uses the hours as they were approved
  • Someone with approved overtime in HR that month can't be sent, so work isn't paid twice
  • Remove the line from the month's pay in HR, and the hours come back
  • Salaried people carry on as usual in HR
Professional plan

Please check with your accountant how hourly pay counts for tax and contributions. The pay line can be changed in the pay components of Ellibo HR.

Looking for attendance software? Timesheets records what people worked on. Attendance, shifts, overtime and salary live in Ellibo HR, and the two work together.
In plain words

What you get, and why it matters

Timesheet software

A timesheet says who worked on what, for how long. Timesheet software keeps that in one place, so you stop chasing spreadsheets at month end. In Ellibo Timesheets, a week is a grid of work and days, with totals you can trust because every box is saved as it is typed.

An employee timesheet app

Each person sees their own sheet and timer. Each manager sees their team. On a phone it shows one day at a time, and it installs from the browser. Five roles decide the rest: Admin, Manager, Finance, Employee and Viewer.

Billable hours tracking

A job can be billable or not, and each line of the week keeps that mark. Reports show billable and non-billable hours by client, person, and job or project. The share of billable hours against expected hours shows how each person's week was spent.

Time tracking with approvals

Approval keeps the hours that reach an invoice or a pay run honest. A manager sees the whole week, approves it or sends it back with a reason, and can see whether anything changed after it was sent. Approved time then stays put unless someone reopens the week.

Straight answers

Questions people ask

What is Ellibo Timesheets?

It is timesheet software for teams that bill for their time or need to know where it went. People log hours on a weekly sheet or with a timer, managers approve whole weeks, and approved hours go into invoices and pay.

Is it attendance software?

No. Timesheets records what people worked on. Attendance, shifts, overtime and salary live in Ellibo HR. If you use both, the Attendance against timesheet report shows hours at work in HR beside hours logged here. It is for checking, and it changes nobody's attendance or pay.

How does time from my other Ellibo apps reach the sheet?

Time from Projects, Field Service, Helpdesk and Manufacturing appears on the weekly sheet without copying or sync. Timesheets reads each row where it is kept, so the hours can't disagree between apps. This is on the Standard plan and up.

Can the same hours be billed twice?

No. Once time is on an invoice, it can't be billed again or changed. If you void the invoice, its hours are free to bill again. Field job and ticket time stays billed with the job or ticket, so it never reaches a second invoice from here.

Who approves the time?

People send a whole week. Project time goes to the project's managers when Projects asks for approval, and all other time goes to the person's line manager. A week is approved when nothing in it is left waiting. Approvers can send it back with a reason.

Can I stop changes to old weeks?

Yes. Lock all time up to a date, and nobody can change time on or before that day. An approved week can only be changed if someone reopens it, and a week can't be reopened once its hours are on an invoice or have gone to pay. Approvals and locked periods are on the Standard plan and up.

What about workers with no email or phone?

They don't need a sign-in. Add them under People, and their manager enters their time on the sheet. They count as a person on your plan.

Who counts as a person on my plan?

Anyone whose time you keep, with or without a sign-in. Viewers don't take a seat, so an owner or auditor can read time and reports at no cost.

What does it cost, and what happens after the trial?

Free for up to 3 people. Standard is $2 per person a month before tax, Professional is $4 and Business is $6. Paid plans have a minimum of 3 people, and a year costs the same as 10 months. Every new business gets 14 days of everything for up to 50 people, no card needed. After that you move to the Free plan, and your records stay. Features outside your plan lock until you upgrade.

Do I need Ellibo Accounting too?

No. Starting Timesheets sets up what it needs, and no other app has to be started. Invoices you make from hours go in the books of your business. If you also use Accounting, you see them there.

Does Timesheets pay people?

It sends approved hours to pay. On the Professional plan, the hours of people you pay by the hour go into the Ellibo HR pay run, or into a CSV for any payroll. Paying by the hour is off by default and set per person. Please check with your accountant how hourly pay counts for tax and contributions.

Can the same work be paid twice, as hours and as overtime?

The app stops that. Someone with approved overtime in HR that month can't be sent, so you choose one way to pay the work.

Will reminders bother someone on leave?

No. Leave and holidays from Ellibo HR lower a person's expected hours, and someone expected to work no hours that week gets no reminder. Without HR, you can list holidays in Timesheets. Reminders are on the Standard plan and up.

Is there a phone app?

Ellibo Timesheets installs as an app from the browser, with nothing to download from a store. Open it on your phone and choose Install or Add to home screen. The phone screen shows one day at a time, so the boxes stay easy to use.

Does it take screenshots or track location?

Hours come from what people type and the timers they start, along with the time your other Ellibo apps already keep. That is all the app records, so your team logs its work in its own words.

Can my client approve the hours?

Approval happens inside your team, by the project's managers and line managers. Your client receives the invoice you make from those approved hours, showing the time on each line.

Can I see which clients make money?

Yes. The Professional plan adds Profit by client, which sets what the hours bill against what they cost, along with Missing time and Attendance against timesheet. Hours by client, person, and job or project come with every plan.

Can I connect my own software?

Yes, on the Business plan. It adds an API, webhooks and workflow rules. Rates are never sent through webhooks or rules.
